The attack, which targeted Israel with over 300 missiles and drones, marked a significant escalation in hostilities between Iran and Israel. President Ruto emphasized that such acts of aggression pose a direct threat to international peace and security, urging for condemnation from all peace-loving nations.


Furthermore, President Ruto called upon Israel to exhibit utmost restraint in its response to the attack, highlighting the critical importance of de-escalating the situation to prevent further bloodshed and instability. The Iranian attack, named Operation True Promise, resulted in explosions being heard across several Israeli cities, including the capital, Tel Aviv. While the Israeli military reported intercepting a majority of the missiles before they could cause significant damage, several individuals sustained injuries, including a seven-year-old girl who was severely wounded.

The attack by Iran was reportedly in retaliation for Israel's alleged strike on its consulate in Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of 13 people.
